What conduct may result in termination of the parent-child relationship?

The Texas Family Code outlines all of the reasons for which a parent’s parental rights may be terminated. Generally, those reasons include: consent of the parent to termination, abandonment of the child or failure to support the child, endangerment of the child, criminal conduct by the parent, or parental unfitness. For a full list of the grounds for termination, see Tex. Fam. Code chapter 161.
